Absentee Bidding 

Terms

The Absentee/Phone Bid Form will be accepted until 3 hours prior to sale.  Please complete the form in full.  For Security this form must be printed out and faxed to 607-786-3549.  A valid credit card with expiration date is required even though you may choose to pay for the item using another means of payment.

Successful bids will be placed on  a credit card unless we are notified otherwise.  Credit card numbers are not kept on file.  When paying with a credit card, a representative of Mapes Auctioneers & Appraisers will call to get your account information. 

Successful bidders will be notified the next business day following the auction.  Payment is expected two business days after being notified.  Purchases paid for with other means than cash, credit card or bank check will be held until payment clears.   Shipping can be arranged for an extra charge.

By submitting this form, you agree to allow Mapes Auction Gallery to bid as your agent for the items listed on the absentee bid form.  These bids will be executed by an employee of  Mapes Auction Gallery in a competitive manner.  You understand it is the policy of Mapes Auction Gallery to bid the next increment should your bid be a tie with the audience.  Mapes Auction Gallery assumes no responsibility for failure to execute absentee bids.
